Our ancient Gypsy wagon, Babushka whispers tales of forgotten journeys, nestled deep within the land giant trees. With gentle hands and patient hearts, her weathered timbers are being coaxed back to life. Each carefully chosen repair mends not just the wood, but also her spirit within. A renewed sense of purpose settles over the clearing as the wagon's grandmother's soul is rekindled. Soon, stories will once again unfold around the revitalized heart of the woods. From her gentle roots and the seeds we have continued to sow within her, have created the most enchanting woodland classroom for the wildlings.
Restoring this timless wagon has been a labor of love for the past ten months. The interior has been completely transformed, creating a cozy and inviting space. Exterior renovations have brought back the original charm and character for her every essence. Every detail has been carefully considered, from the refurbished woodwork to the fresh paint. To all the details from carved wooden details and hand painting Gypsy folk art designs into the rhythms of the wood. She will continue to be a labour of love through life but it is such a joy to finally see the fruits of her labour and to see her, nestled in the woods, blooming from the roots up.
It's time for the interior details now. The etching and painting is shall pour into her gardens. The trinkets and the books that will sit upon book shelves in her. Her mixed wood flooring amd benches from a tree we milled on Dartmoor. Every intricate detail has a story, has a Seed. Has a sentimental tapestry of tales to share with you all.
I wholeheartedly cannot wait to see her being adored as a classroom in the woods for the wildlings to learn and bloom within. An anciently carved nook that has become such an integral part of our Forest School.
Babushka sits quietly in the woods, awaiting the arrival of the wildlings.
